Expert opinion: The Oscar Baby Fulmer bit from Fager is suitable for horses sensitive to pressure and unstable in contact but also for horses with sensitive corners. The Oscar bit is a light double-broken bit, made of durable titanium. It is designed with a 30 mm break in the center that lies flat against the horse’s tongue which reduces pressure on the palate. The Oscar bit is blocked which gives the horse the stability it needs to find contact more easily and improve balance. The Baby Fulmer effect is a mix between free and fixed rings. The needles are placed near the horse’s mouth which improves the direction and allows better stability of the bit. The free rings are placed further from the corners of the mouth, which reduces pressure and encourages the horse to make contact. The Oscar mors is relevant for many horses and an excellent for a young horse. The Baby Fulmer effect is approved by the FEI, even for dressage.
