Expert opinion : The Sensitive straight bit with tongue passage from Acavallo has many advantages thanks to its alloy and the shape of its barrel. It helps to make contact with the bit and is intended for horses that have difficulty in stretching. The anatomy of the bit offers a maximum of space for the tongue and its tongue passage allows an optimal distribution of pressure on the bars, the tongue and the commissures. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will allow the horse to gain confidence in his mouthpiece, to come to rest and to stretch. The D-rings of the Verdun will provide an excellent lateral frame and a more direct contact of the hand to the mouth as well as a very slight leverage. This leverage is achieved because the space between the snaffle post and the rein is greater than on a ring with olives or a free ring.
