Expert opinion

: The Zilco fine bit is an anatomically designed single bit. It allows for accurate transmission of your aids. Unlike the double bit which acts on the tongue, the single bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses with a hollow palate or not very sensitive palate. This bit is very thin (9 mm), has small rings and can be used as a snaffle bit or for horses/ponies with very little space in their mouth. The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, making it easier to play in the fingers and limiting excessive tension. The edge of this bit has the particularity of protecting the corners of the mouth.

Material

Stainless steel : Stainless steel is a commonly used alloy which has the particularity of not oxidizing. Because of their nature, stainless steel jaws are very solid and do not get damaged over time.
