: The James Loose Ring bit from Zilco is a single bit. The two fixed legs offer more control. Unlike the double bit which acts on the tongue, the single bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses with a hollow palate or not very sensitive palate. The free rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limit excessive tension. The edge of this bit has the particularity of protecting the corners of the mouth.
