Description
Lowering bit, you can put the reins fixed on the lower ring. This bit has a gag action. The German 3 ring bit is particular as it prevents from any pinching around the usual friction areas. The lever action is progressive and slightly softer than the lever action of a classic 3 ring bit. This bit can be used with reins attached on the bottom ring, with bit connectors or with two pairs of reins. It is ideal for horses that tend to carry their head behind the vertical and for riders that want to teach their horse how to properly work again. The leather is a great way to help your horse relax on the bit. Sensitive horses usually appreciates this alternative while making them salivate. A great bit to have in your stables especially during the winter season !
Material
Material: Virtually every horse like the feeling of leather in its mouth and reacts with increased chewing activity and more salivation. The more salivation, the better slides the bit in the mouth what means an increased well being of your horse. The anatomical shape of the mouthpiece adjusts when wet even more perfect to the anatomy of the horse's mouth. Extremely well suited is our leather mouthpiece for young and highly sensitive horses, disliking all other materials. This mouthpiece are tanned vegetable and stitched by hand.
Tips : Prior to the first use please soak the mouthpiece thoroughly in cooking oil. Please repeat since the leather seems dry to you. Prior to every use please soak briefly in cold water and rinse after use because saliva can erode the leather quickly.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
