Expert opinion
Expert's Opinion : The Trust double snaffle bit slightly reduces the risk of a ‘nutcracker’ effect on the tongue and palate thanks to its slightly flat central olive. Trust offers a break of uniform thickness with the ends of the barrels, which avoids asperities that could be uncomfortable for the horse. The double curvature offers good mobility to the bit, allowing good relaxation in horses that can lean on straight bits. It offers good freedom of movement in the horse's mouth. It's a versatile bit that can be used for horses in training as well as older horses. Its sweet iron alloy encourages the horse to chew and salivate, providing relaxation. The needles provide excellent lateral support and more direct contact between the hand and the mouth.
Material
Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
